  • Question: I live in Ward 3, where do I vote?

    Answer: If you live in Ward 3, Precinct 1 (those streets in Ward 3 WEST of Lexington Street) you vote at the MacArthur Elementary School at 494 Lincoln Street. If you live in Ward 3, Precinct 3 (those streets in Ward 3 EAST of Lexington Street) you vote at the Northeast Elementary School at 70 Putney Lane.

    Question: When is the last day to register to vote for the November 7th, 2017 election?

    Answer: October 18th, 2017.

    Question: Is my street public or private?

    Answer: See the attached
    document which lists all streets in the city. As can be seen in the document, some streets have both public and private sections.

    Question: Who do I call to report problems with snow plowing?

    Answer: Call the city's' Consolidate Public Works department (CPW) at 781-314-3855.

    Question: How to I petition the city to resurface my private way?

    Answer: The form that you need to fill out is located
    here. You need more than 50 percent of the total frontage of the recorded landowners to sign the petition. After collecting the signatures, send the petition to the City Clerks office at City Hall at 610 Main Street.' The city pays 25% of the total cost and the residents pay 75%. After completed, the residents can pay in full with a single payment or can pay over 5 years at 5% interest. In the latter case the amount is automatically added to your real estate bill.
